Bet and child
Bet, birthdate unknown, was included in Reed’s ledger of daily slave activities and evidently performed outdoor labor. She was listed with her unnamed child at an $1200 value in Martha Reed’s estate inventory. No "Bet" was mentioned in the receipts of inheritance but a "Beth" was inherited by John Reed upon Michael Reed's death. The identity and fate of her child is unknown.

Bill was sold as a slave at age 13 to Michael Reed by H.M. Bouldin on July 24, 1856. He was included in Reed’s ledger of daily slave activities and evidently performed outdoor labor. Bill was assigned a $700 value in Martha Reed’s estate inventory and inherited by Jefferson Reed upon Michael Reed's death.
