Sal (alternatively spelled Sall) was included in Reed’s ledger of daily slave activities and evidently performed outdoor labor. They were assigned a $500 value in Martha Reed’s estate inventory and were inherited by Sarah Sparks upon the death of Michael Reed.

Sarah/Sary, ca. 1836-?
Sarah (presumed the same person as "Sary" based on slaveowner and dates) was the subject of an agreement between Archibald Thompson and Michael Reed in which Thompson lent to Reed the services of Sary in exchange for a sum of one hundred dollars on January 20, 1853. Later that year, Sarah was sold at the age of 17 with her daughter by Archibald Thompson to Michael Reed. She was the mother of Clarissa (alternatively spelled Clerrisa).
